It’s been 10 days since the last snippet but I’m back, and this site has been fully updated. Welcome to v1.0 of this website. A lot has changed. To be honest, i planned to get this post out like 4 weeks ago, then college ended, I procrastinated, and then spent a painful amount of time updating certain parts of this website to the point I kind of forgot a lot of what I was going to write here. I might write some of it in microblogs, or you might see it in a big blog post, depends how I feel. Therefore, this post is moreso just mostly what I had back then, with some small extra things I added across time, and the big changelog of changes between the updates. You can tell which parts are older because they have older information that has since changed like my opinion on NTE, which I’ll probably write about in a future post., or I would just put in a snippet(the dragon maid one). Let’s finish this so I can go back to regular posting!

Changelog

• Added a visit counter to the home page
  • This is probably the first thing you’ll notice, and it took me a while to setup. I knew I wanted one but actually setting this up was the biggest reason this update took so long to release behind my general laziness. The original tracker idea used busuanzi as its counter backend(it uses moe-counter btw), and still partially contains some bloated code for it because I suck at code cleaning, but now uses vercount.one instead. Busuanzi gets blocked by ublock origin, while vercount doesn’t but uses cookies instead. I went with the latter since it’s not blocked, and the size of the cookies(~60 bytes) is virtually nothing and shouldn’t pose any issues, especially since the counter is open-source.
• Removed the now page and projects pages
  • This is the 2nd biggest change to the website for sure. The Now page didn’t align with the vision I had for my actual usage, and to be honest, I’d rather not deal with that updating. This isn’t a developer page, so the projects page was also not necessary nor being used. All uses of it have been removed from the code. Maybe i’ll bring back the basketball game in the future.
• New page: Song of the Week
  • As I started using microblogs properly, the SOTW page kept sadly being pushed back. This is now no longer an issue as it’s gotten its own page! This allows me to continuously update the page without worrying about it being pushed down. It now also has a place in the table of contents for this website as well, allowing for easy access. It doesn’t show in the RSS but I don’t know if I’ll update the RSS to do so. The corresponding snippet has been removed.
• The about page has been updated
  • The about page now has a small little blurb about the website as well as the planned posts section, which has been expanded slightly. The corresponding snippet has been removed.
• The github and twitter link at the bottom of the website have been replaced with a version number(1.0)
  • Don’t need the github since this is a private repo and i’ve stopped using twitter for reasons listed in this post.
• Other minor fixes
  • Basically everything I just do not remember fixing, plus the extra fixes that have happened in between the blog posts that i’ve only mentioned in the microblogs which include the following:
    • The RSS feed now works
    • 404/500 images are now hosted in the files of the site
    • other minor fixes

Animanga

R/a/dio

Anime song radio station primarily based on community song requests but does have a weekly schedule of DJs. Shilling it because it’s a great time and those DJs are also really cool. All free too its just a great time overall. Only problem is that it’s a 4chan thing but tbh you don’t even have to see the threads and chat just listen to the radio. I love it. Rethink: Miss kobayashi’s dragon maid

“Rethinks” are for times I want to talk about something I remembered and want to discuss.

So not too long ago, the Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid movie aired. (ok It says 1 year but like it didn’t get English subtitles available on streaming till like January) I thought about it recently. Remembered the whole Elma arc. It really shook everything didn’t it…Elma’s in love with Tohru, and vice versa. Shocked me. The manga becomes really good every so often when it’s time for an arc.

Neverness to Everness

Been playing this a bit. Ill do a deeper take when i play it more/ next blog post. It does use a lot of genAI. The pacing is ok to bad. But, it is anime GTA and Ananta is currently getting leaked or something but I’m waiting for it. I hope they improve the game and get rid of the AI stuff or i might uninstall and just play actual GTA.

Melty Blood: Twi-Lumina

I love Melty Blood, and play both Type Lumina and Actress Again Current Code. It was at Evo Japan the Combo Breaker and it was a fun time to watch. Evo Japan had a lot of announcements from games except GBVSR because screw me, but I didn’t expect one out of Melty Blood, but then it happened. I was about to go to sleep at like 11-12am and then i saw the trailer and it kept me up. Twi-lumina, a sequel to Type Lumina (and probably a remake of Kagetsu Tohya) was announced after the tournament ended. With Len as the main character shown. Very exciting. I think ill read kagetsu tohya now and then tsukihime remake(WHY ARE YOU NOT OUT ON PC YET). Here’s cool links for those wanting to try stuff out:

• Read Tsukihime Remake. A whole different universe and not necessary to read the above for this. Only available on playstation and nintendo switch because idk
• Play Type Lumina. Takes place in the tsukihime remake universe.

  • Fate/Stay Night Remastered(Covers Saber). No official website but available in english on Steam and Switch. Personally I recommend the fanmade Ultimate Edition of the game you can find floating around but this is official and the translation is actually pretty nice from what I’ve heard.

I spent a lot more time than I wanted doing research for the above damn.

Misc

Fifa World Cup 2026

The FIFA World Cup 2026 is 15 days away and tbh I’m very excited. I’ve been watching [Zealandism’s daily coverage of all the teams], and I got the tiny trionda ball cuz why not it’s cute. I’m going to go visit a lot of fan stuff because I just KNOW that local energy will be off the rails. It’ll be an insanely fun community experience. I know places holding free events, on top of the official events. Theaters are also doing screenings which is a fun time. I’ll probably talk about it both here and in the snippets so sorry for that. SOTW might be heavily focused on World Cup songs too for a bit. The fever is real. I even built this lego set. Lost one piece but I improvised. Try to find where the missing piece is.

Kendrick Lamar

I listened to Kendrick Lamar recently. Specifically the “DAMN.” album and the “good kid, m.a.a.d city” album. The former got more bangers but the latter’s story is really good. Kendrick does a GREAT job of telling a story through the latter album. The former does also have a big theme and story(“pray for me”), but the story told through GKMC is just really good imo. Really shows how religion really changes people. The entire album becomes much happier once Jesus is introduced its crazy. DAMN really hits hard with the bangers, but that’s kinda the point. GKMC also has insane bangers (Compton, Bitch dont kill my vibe, and Now or Never especially) but isnt as banger-focused(?) as DAMN.

GKMC: 10/10 DAMN: 9/10

I MIGHT do one of his songs for SOTW but I have the general idea for SOTW with the World Cup like I mentioned before so it might take a bit.

The New York Mets

I went to the New York Mets game literally yesterday. A great time, and they actually ended their 5 game losing streak. I didn’t believe in them winning because they had lost 7-2 to the Reds the last 2 games in a row but they pulled it off somehow.

Twitter

I stayed off Twitter for quite a long time starting the new year. I relapsed a bit recently and wow it quickly took over my free time. I get bored and scroll twitter. Im not bored and i scroll twitter. I can hold discord off, but I think I should clear my servers there to really rid myself of distractions. I think I’m at server limit so I really don’t need that many. I’m def quitting twitter again tho it’s insane. Used to remember what i was doing before I started scrolling now I don’t im struggling with this post alone. Some funny posts but when i can barely remember events bc i was scrolling it kinda sucks. Crazy what this stuff can do to your brain.

Next Time

So the checklist was skipped partly because I just wanted to get this post out after procrastinating for far too long, but I did do both. So it’s back to regular posting, but I will be drafting a second regular post for something I did recently(it’s listed on planned posts). I also want to tackle some of the animanga stuff I missed writing about during break so hopefully that will happen. I mean like, nama anaru, or even the student council has holes(i will be referring to it as the former since that’s whats listed on the twitter and it also kinda translates to raw anal which is too funny to not say) is now being simulpubbed on k manga, with all the chapters translated! It pushes up my plans now that I can actually talk about the entire series without issue of like “oh its half translated”. But I’m fully back.
